Mexican Consulate sign pact to protect workers from discrimination
LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Memphis District Office of the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Consulate of Mexico in Little Rock.
The agreement establishes an ongoing collaborative relationship between these two entities to provide Mexican nationals regardless of legal status with information, guidance, and access to resources on the prevention of discrimination in the workplace.

Andrés Chao appointed new Consul General of México in Denver
MEXICO CITY, MEXICO - In a solemn ceremony in the Senate of the Republic of Mexico, Andrés Chao took oath as Consul General of Mexico in Denver.
The Senate confirmed the appointment issued by the Executive in favor of Andres Chao Ebergenyi.
Chao Ebergenyi, bachelor in Communication Sciences, has worked as National Press Coordinator of the secretary to the President of the Republic and even before his appointment was Consul of Mexico in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mexican Consulate delivered IME check for $20,000 for scholarships
LITTLE ROCK, AR – During a ceremony on Monday, February 14, 2011 the Consul of Mexico Andres Chao delivered a check of $20,000 dollars from the Mexican government IME to the Hispanic Women Organization of Arkansas (HWOA) to benefit Mexican students in continuing with their higher education in Arkansas.

OSHA and Mexican Consulate form alliance to promote safety and health
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Enhanced workplace safety and health for Mexican workers in Arkansas and Oklahoma is the goal of an alliance signed on Friday, February 18, 2011 by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Mexican Consulate in Little Rock.

Mexico’s Ambassador visited Arkansas
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan met with Arkansas governor Mike Beebe during his visit on 31 August.
During his a working tour to Arkansas, Ambassador Sarukhan met with governor, Mike Beebe, where he discussed issues related to the Mexican community that resides in the state.
The Ambassador attended several events and opened ARKANSAS MEXICO 2010.

UAMS and Mexican Consulate team up for health initiatives

Mexican Consulates signed another repatriation agreement with ICE
NEW ORLEANS, LA -- On February 6, Mexican Consul Andres Chao, participated on the signage of the second agreement on the repatriation of Mexican nationals with representatives of the United States federal immigration authorities.

LITTLE ROCK, AR – When the Mexican Consulate office in Arkansas opened its doors on Wednesday, 25 of April the ceremony included the signing of a sister-city agreement between Little Rock and Pachuca, in the Mexican state of Hidalgo. Mexican Consulate opens it’s doors in Little Rock
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The Mexican Consulate office in Arkansas opened it’s doors on Wednesday, 25 of April with a public opening at the new consulate office in Little Rock. This is Mexico’s 47th consulate in the United States.
