Inter-American Development Bank presents Latino art collection in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Arkansans will have the rare opportunity to enjoy an exhibition of famous Latin American artist. Organized by the Inter-American Development Bank Cultural Center and the Arkansas Arts Center from July 6 – August 19, 2007 at the Townsend Wolfe Gallery. This exhibition features work from the collection of the Inter-American Development Bank, Washington, D.C. In celebration of United States Hispanic Heritage Month, the works were on view in a show organized by General Coordinator and Curator of the IDB Cultural Center, Félix Angel. Showcasing work from the 26 Latin American IDB member countries, artists represented in this exhibition are, Cuban Wilfredo Lam; Chilean Roberto Sebastian Matta; Mexicans, Rufino Tamayo and Diego Rivera; Diego Masi from Uruguay; Fernando Montes form Bolivia, and Mauricio Lasansky, Argentina. The Arkansas Arts Center is located at, 501 E. 9th Street, Little Rock, AR 72202. Open from 10Am to 5PM Tuesday –Saturday; 11Am to 5Pm on Sundays.
