Political strategist Leslie Sanchez visits PSC to "Bless the Mic"

LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Political analyst Leslie Sanchez will Bless the Mic with her insight and knowledge of politics and will likely explain this years national election results at Philander Smith College.

Dr. Walter Kimbrough, president of Philander Smith College said of his guest, "As our country becomes more diverse, our elections are an important barometer of where we are in terms of race relations. Leslie Sanchez is not only a veteran political analyst, having covered the 2008 presidential election for CNN, but she brings an important perspective as a Republican woman who is Latina."

An author, national Republican Party strategist, and former director of the Bush White Houses initiatives on Hispanics and education, Sanchez is known for her straightforward style and in-depth understanding of political and cultural landscapes.

“Hispanics comprise one of Americas largest business-minded, faith-based, culturally-conservative entities-and their numbers continue to grow. Long assumed to be aligned with the Democrats, Hispanics have been ignored by many Republicans,” noted Hispanic marketing expert and political commentator Leslie Sanchez who passionately argues that Hispanics, after years of watching Democrats fail them, need to shift their bets to the Republicans or risk gambling away their political future.

Her prediction that “Beyond being the likely deciding factor in the 2008 elections, Hispanics are poised to be the next great political force in America,” arrived on mid term Elections on November 2.

Sanchez is one of only two Hispanic Americans ever hired as political contributors at major news networks, and the first at CNN.

She has appeared on major media outlets, including the Today show (NBC), The Early Show (CBS), the News Hour with Jim Lehrer (PBS), Oprah Radio, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, Univision, and Telemundo. She is a regular contributor to CNN.com and the AC360 blog, ...
