BATTLE CREEK, MI - - Papa Rap and the cast from the nationally syndicated television show “What’s Up/Que Pasa?”were invited to the Kellogg Arena for a free children’s show on Saturday, September 27.
Performed in both English and Spanish, Papa Rap live show offered seventy minutes of fast-paced entertainment with original music, humor, dancing and excitement.
Al “Papa Rap” Lopez, original from Puerto Rico and resident of Arkansas for almost twenty years leads the cast of performers, in this live show. Open to people of all ages, his songs focus on the importance of open communication and education.
“The special Battle Creek performance was focused on the theme “Feed Your Brain,” and promoting education and open communication among students, families and schools,” said Papa Rap.
The Kellogg Foundation supported this event in recognition and celebration of National Hispanic Heritage month, one of the many efforts underway to promote racial equity in the community, in partnership with the Greater Battle Creek programming team.
“We are thrilled to bring Papa Rap to the Kellogg Arena as an opportunity for kids throughout our community to come together for an afternoon of fun and excitement, and to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month,” says Luz Benitez-Delgado, Deputy Director at the Kellogg Foundation.
The television show, “What’s Up/Que Pasa?” airs across the country.
