MEXICO CITY, MEXICO - In a solemn ceremony in the Senate of the Republic of Mexico, Andrés Chao took oath as Consul General of Mexico in Denver.
The Senate confirmed the appointment issued by the Executive in favor of Andres Chao Ebergenyi.

Chao Ebergenyi, bachelor in Communication Sciences, has worked as National Press Coordinator of the secretary to the President of the Republic and even before his appointment was Consul of Mexico in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He also served as press attaché at the consulate general of Mexico in New York; representative for Central Europe based in the Embassy of Mexico in the Netherlands and director of Social Communication of the National Migration Institute, among other positions.

Consul Chao Ebergenyi, his wife Begoña Chao and their three children will be leaving Arkansas in the coming months. No replacement has been confirmed by the Consulate of Mexico in Little Rock.
