NEW ORLEANS, LA -- On February 6, Mexican Consul Andres Chao, participated on the signage of the second agreement on the repatriation of Mexican nationals with representatives of the United States federal immigration authorities.



Mexican president, Felipe Calderon said of the agreement, "we must assure that the interests of Mexicans national and their human rights are respected."



The agreement was signed between the Mexican Consulates in Little Rock. Dallas and Kansas City and the offices of ICE, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with the purpose to cover Oklahoma.



"The agreement aims to ensure that Mexican nationals that must be repatriated by the United States if found living in this country in an irregular manner, are treated in a safe, orderly, humane and dignified manner," said Mexican Consul in Little Rock, Andres Chao.
