WASHINGTON, DC -- Spec. Marco Robledo, of Clarksville, Arkansas was presented with a Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, and Combat Action Badge by MG William Wofford, the adjutant general of the Arkansas National Guard, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. in early July.
Spec. Robledo was injured near Balad, Iraq when an improvised explosive device detonated near the vehicle in which he was riding, which killed his fellow Soldier, Spec. Erich S. Smallwood of Trumann, Arkansas.
Robledo is a member of the Marked Tree based, Company B, of the 87th Troop Command’s 875th Engineer Battalion, and was serving with the battalion’s Company A, from Jonesboro.
Attending the ceremony were Robledo’s family, Congressman Marion Berry and Command Sergeant Major Deborah Collins.
