Villanueva earns Arkansas Federal Credit Union Twisters Player of the Week

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Arkansas Twisters quarterback Brian Villanueva is the Arkansas Federal Credit Union Twisters’ Player of the Week for Week 18 after leading the Twisters to a 40-34 overtime victory to clinch a home playoff game.



Villanueva completed 27 of 42 passes for 271 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions. He completed the biggest touchdown passes of the season in the fourth quarter and overtime period. He led the Twisters to a score with just :26 seconds on the clock to tie the game at 34.



He also started the overtime period by finding Kevin Williams for the eventual game winning score.

The win gives the Twisters a home playoff game for the first time since 2003. Arkansas will play Bossier-Shreveport in the first round of the ArenaCup Playoffs at Alltel Arena on Saturday, August 4th at 7:05pm.

Brian Villanueva is from Las Vegas, Nevada son of a Mexican father and a French mother.
