civic participation and it is also an initiative that wants to portray voting as an act of social responsibility, not just a political act. The main idea is that Mexican youths should be interested in the problems that face the nation, independent of whatever preferences or observations one has about individual politicians or political parties.



Building on the success of TREV, MTV Latin America Tu Rock es Votar, and the All Participating Foundation announced creation of the consortium “We Are 30 million” whose objective is to emphasize the importance of the young vote and at the same time to encourage to the Mexican youth to vote July 2.



MTV Latin America will produce a series of programs “We Are 30 million: Talks With Candidates” in conjunction with the others member of the consortium.

The participation of the youth in these presidential elections will be of great importance since according to figures of the Mexican election commission, more than 30 million youths between 18 and 34 years of age will be able to vote, that equals to a 45% of the electorate.
