RUSELLVILLE, AR -- The Arkansas River Valley League of United Latin American Citizens, (LULAC) Council #766 will hold it’s first public forum on September 2nd 2005 at the Russellville Holiday Inn.
“As our great nation is going through many changes during these times, Arkansas River Valley is transforming itself. As September is Hispanic Heritage Month, we would like to present ourselves to local leaders and residents to explain who and what we are,” said J. Robert Bustos, local chapter president.
“LULAC #766 has established itself in the River Valley and is based out of Russellville. We are a recent local grassroots organization that looks forward to working together with various facets of the community in a cross functional capacity,” said Bustos.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 2:00 PM and end at 6:00PM. Participants will include LULAC local council presidents, Arkansas District and State Director of LULAC, Representatives of Arkansas Senators offices and possible representatives from various government agencies, city officials, health, education, and business leaders.
